Beautiful Bonita – City Wide Clean-Up
Bonita Springs had its third annual city-wide Keep Bonita Beautiful clean-up. The event brought together volunteers from around the city to pick up debris and garbage for proper disposal instead of littering the streets. Volunteers were given coffee, donuts and a clean-up kit at Community Hall on Old 41. From there, they went to locations throughout Bonita, touching on some of the particularly bad areas. The event is the brainchild of Nelson, who started it by rallying people together to clean up his own District 6 in the city’s southeastern corner. Volunteers then headed back to the Community Hall and the banyan tree area for hot dogs and refreshments. A BTV98 production.
